Pick your home cabin class — works for SaunaCloud, Sunlighten, Clearlight, Health Mate, Finnmark and budget home brands
Dedicated 240V/30A · 30A double-pole breaker · 10 AWG copper (upsize to 8 AWG past 100 ft) · hardwired disconnect near cabin · e.g. Atlas One / Amplify 1 / Sanctuary 1 · NEC Article 424 · licensed electrician required.
Methodology [edit]
Home saunas are fixed electric heating under NEC Article 424 on any brand: dedicated circuit, correctly sized breaker and copper, disconnect within sight for 240V home cabins, GFCI where home outdoor or required locally. Electrical class follows cabin size and heater load, not the logo on the door:
| Home class | Circuit plan | Wire / breaker | Brand examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| Compact 1-person 120V | Dedicated 120V/20A | 12 AWG / 20A 1-pole, NEMA 5-20 | Sanctuary 1, Renew 1, Dynamic 1-person |
| 1-person 240V | Dedicated 240V/30A | 10 AWG / 30A 2-pole | Atlas One, Amplify 1, Sanctuary 1 full-spectrum |
| 2-person | Dedicated 240V/40A (30–50A range) | 8 AWG / 40A 2-pole | Atlas, mPulse Aspire·Believe, Sanctuary 2, Renew 2 |
| 3–4 person | Dedicated 240V/50–60A | 6 AWG / 50–60A 2-pole | Sierra, mPulse Empower·Discover, Sanctuary 3–4, Finnmark hybrid |
| Outdoor home | Dedicated 240V/60A GFCI | 6 AWG wet-rated / 60A GFCI 2-pole | Atlas Outdoor, Outdoor Sanctuary |
| Budget import 120V | Dedicated 120V/20A, never shared | 12 AWG / 20A 1-pole | Dynamic / Maxxus — verify ETL listing first |
Over 100 ft home runs upsize one gauge for voltage drop. Confirm against your model's nameplate and shipped home electrical drawings; SaunaCloud states staff will speak with home inspectors.[1] Model names from maker home pages.[2][3]
